How to use this page

• Choose a dataset, average, region and shading. Only available maps are listed.
• Use the date selector, slider or Previous / Next buttons to browse available images.
• Play animates the available dates in order and loops at the end. Pause stops playback; changing the selection or date also stops playback.
• If a date is missing, the nearest earlier available image is selected; before the record starts, the first image is shown.
• Daily SST maps cover the retained ten years. Monthly SST maps retain the full generated record.
